5 Resolutions for 2015

1. Consistently blog at least 3 times a week
Blogging is one of my favorite things to do but I find myself drifting away at times and I hate that! I want to re commit myself to consistently blogging and producing great content. I love when ideas and posts come to me organically and I think that’s been a reason why I’m not as consistent as I would like to be. Instead of letting writers block or lack of creativity hold me back, in 2015 I want to challenge myself to create great content even when I don’t feel like it’s right at my fingertips. I want to challenge my thought pattern and push myself to be more thoughtful and creative with my posts. It starts with one!

2. Consistently go to Church
I love going to church to hear the word and be surrounded by God’s presence but too often in 2014 I let my laziness or other plans get in the way of me going to church and being spiritually filled. I want to make this a priority in 2015. It’s ok to miss a Sunday here or there but I don’t want to make it a habit. Here’s to renewed strength and discipline in getting to the word.

3. Consistently work out at least 3 times a week
Oh, working out (ugh). It’s crazy to think that I was an athlete my whole entire life (playing volleyball for almost 10 years) and I still hate working out to this day. I want to make it a priority to make living a healthier lifestyle an extremely important factor in my life. I want to not only work out but eat better and practice being mentally stronger. I can’t say that I commit to working out each and every day, but I can say that I am willing to work out at least 3 times a week. Whether that’s a light jog, a class or even doing a good old youtube workout in my room, I have to do better on the work out tip in 2015!

4. Begin planning my business.
Now this one is a little tricky. It’s even a little scary to publish publically. But I’m going for it and saying it to the world because sometimes when we have ideas and we only keep them in our heads they don’t seem as real. I want this idea to come to fruition and I know I have to say it out loud to make it come true. I have always wanted to own my own vineyard and wine brand…

(I know, I know, huge dream right? MAYBE even a little farfetched). But it wouldn’t be a dream if it wasn’t farfetched! I’m so passionate about the wine business and I think there’s a huge opportunity for me to tap into that industry in some capacity. Now, I know that owning my own wine isn’t going to happen in 2015, but someone really wise once told me that to have a dream is one thing but if you’re a good strategist you will take that dream or goal and disseminate it into smaller pieces to make it more achievable. I’ve decided to make 2015 the year where I’m going to start to break up this large dream and take the right actions toward making it a reality.

The dream begins with hosting wine parties. This year I want to begin hosting wine parties for girlfriends, families, lovers, whoever! These parties will be perfect for those wine lovers out there who want to create an intimate wine experience in the privacy of their own homes. The parties will allow me to of course get to know more wines and continue expanding my knowledge on wine and also allow me to brand myself so that one day when I do begin to produce my own wine I have a loyal audience who’ll be willing to try! More to come on this idea!

This resolution is two fold as I also want to look into getting certified to being a sommelier. Being a vineyard owner ain’t easy! Education is always the first step to becoming an expert. In 2015, I want to begin the necessary steps to becoming the wine expert I know I can be.

5. Speak up
This might seem like a strange resolution but I believe to make great resolutions you have to look back at your year and really analyze what you could have done better. In a lot of ways I think that I could have spoken up a lot more in my personal life and in my professional life. I’ve always been the type of person to not want to be the most opinionated person in the room, but I also think that I need to push through and work on voicing my opinion more and not be scared to hurt feelings or disagree with someone. In 2015 I plan to take more steps to speaking up and trusting my voice.

Here’s to a beautiful and prosperous 2015. May God continue to shine his light and allow blessings to surround you all!

Thanks for joining me in 2014…hoping to see you in 2015!

Love,
Natasha
