As the chicken cooks down, the liquid will reduce into a nice, thick gravy. Go easy on the salt in the beginning and taste the gravy before adding more. How salty it gets will depend on your seasonings and how much the gravy reduces. If you need more liquid as the chicken cooks, you can always add a little more water, but remember, you can always add more, you can’t take it away! Sub bone broth or chicken broth for water for an even richer flavor. Add potatoes and carrots to further stretch the dish.
