Ingredients

  • 1 package 12-count Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1/2 lb thinly sliced deli ham turkey works too, don't overthink it!
  • 6 slices American cheese or your favorite cheese!
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tbsp whole grain Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Light mayo for the sandwich if desired

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Rolls

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally (keeping them connected) and place the bottom half in a greased baking dish.

      Step 2: Layer It Up

      • Add mayo to the rolls and layer the ham evenly over the rolls, then add the cheese slices on top. Place the top half of the rolls back on.

      Step 3: Make the Glaze

      • In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

      Step 4: Pour

      • Brush or pour the butter mixture evenly over the sandwiches, making sure to get it into all the nooks and crannies.

      Step 5: Bake to Perfection

Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown and gooey.

          Step 6: Serve & Enjoy

Let them sit for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving. Trust me, they go FAST!
