- 1 lb Ground turkey
- 1 small yellow onion finely diced
- 1 small colored bell pepper of choice finely diced
- 1 Egg lightly beaten
- 1 tbs milk of choice
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste about a tsp per pound
- Brioche buns toasted if desired
- Cheddar cheese
- Iceberg lettuce
- Tomato slices
Add the ground turkey to a bowl along with the diced onion, peppers, egg, milk, and seasonings. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Form the mixture into hand-shaped burger patties. This recipe makes about 5 small burgers or 4 large ones.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates. Grill the turkey burgers until fully cooked through, about 4-6 minutes per side, flipping halfway through cooking. Check internal temp for 165 degrees.
During the last minute of cooking, top each burger with cheddar cheese and allow it to melt. Remove from direct heat.
Serve on toasted brioche buns with iceberg lettuce and tomato if desired.
