Ingredients
1package of Sweet Hawaiian Rollsoriginal
2large eggs
3/4cuphalf and half or milk
1/2cuppumpkin puree
1tspvanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
1tsppumpkin spice spice
1/2tspcinnamonoptional since it's already in the pumpkin spice blend
Powdered sugar to taste to serve
Maple syrup to taste to serve
Whipped cream to taste to serve
To cook
1tbspcoconut oil
2tbspbutter
Instructions
To a bowl, combine the ingredients for the custard and whisk well until well combined
Use a toothpick to pierce small holes in the rolls then dunk the rolls into the custard and allow excess to drip off back into the bowl
To a warm griddle, add coconut oil and butter
Place the rolls on the griddle and cook on all sides for 2 minutes each side or until all sides are golden brown
Remove the french toast and plate
Top with powdered sugar, maple syrup and whipped cream as desired
Don't forget the bacon!
Notes
Cook on a medium low heat, it takes longer but you won't burn the french toast!
