8ouncesof your favorite pastawe recommend bowtie
1tablespoonolive oil
1poundItalian sausagemild or spicy, your choice
1small onionfinely chopped
3clovesgarlicminced or garlic paste
1cupred bell pepperchopped
1cupspinach leaves
1cupheavy cream
1/2cupgrated Parmesan cheese
1tspsmoked paprika
1tspItalian seasoning
1tspgarlic powder
Salt and pepperto taste
Instructions
Boil the Pasta: Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until it's al dente. Drain and set aside.
Brown the Sausage: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the Italian sausage, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. Cook until the sausage is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Add Aromatics: Add the chopped onion, red bell pepper and minced garlic to the skillet with the sausage. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes until the onions become translucent and fragrant. Add seasoning followed by heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Stir well to combine and let the mixture simmer for another 2-3 minutes until it thickens and becomes creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Spinach: Stir in the the spinach and allow it to whilt.
Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the creamy sausage and vegetable mixture. Toss everything together to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy sauce.
Serve and Garnish: Transfer the creamy Tuscan sausage pasta to serving plates and enjoy.
Notes
Reserve 1/3 cup of pasta water to loosen sauce as desired. For extra creamy sauce add 1/2 cup more of heavy cream. You can also make this a blush sauce by adding tomato paste if desired.
