Candied Date Sweet Potatoes
Presenting my Date Candied Sweet Potatoes, sweetened to perfection with all-natural date sugar and date syrup.

- 4 medium-sized sweet potatoes sliced in half length wise
- 1/2 cup date sugar
- 1/4 cup date syrup
- 2 tablespoons olive oil for the skin
- Kosher salt to taste for the skin
- Optional: Chopped pecans or walnuts and cinnamon
Preheat your oven to 400°F
Wash sweet potatoes, pat dry with paper towels and slice in half length wise
On a sheet tray top with parchment, add date sugar and top with date syrup then place sweet potatoes flesh side down on top of the mixture
Roast in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until the edges are caramelized, and the sweet potatoes are fork tender
Optional: Sprinkle with cinnamon, chopped pecans or walnuts over the top during the last 10 minutes of baking for an extra crunch.
Remove from the oven, let them cool for a few minutes, and serve!
