I recently straightened my hair after vacation and didn’t love the way it turned out as the humidity in NYC absolutely ruined it. I decided instead of forfeiting the style immediately that I would try something new. I used the orange sized perm rods on my straight hair. I simply parted about 15-20 medium sections of my hair and rolled them onto the rods.
I allowed the rods to set over night and voila! The next day I had huge voluminous natural straight hair. The next day had about the same amount of humidity if not more, but this style allowed for my hair to frizz a bit but still look pretty decent.
To maintain the style, I used a large comb to wrap my hair and secure with a scarf. I loved this look so much that I’m thinking about re-creating it in a more polished way next time but using the rollers right after I straighten my hair instead of waiting until that night.
