Surprise–It’s me

So, for some time now I’ve been contemplating just cutting my hair off and really starting over. Not like big chop cut, but a serious enough cut to get my hair back on track. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my length, but I definitely felt as though it was time for some serious rejuvenation.

After contemplating for a short while, I called up Hair Rules Salon and the rest is pretty much history! It’s actually taken me about a month to fully get use to my new look but I love it! I appreciate a shorter look because you truly can’t “hide” behind your hair and use it as a security blanket for your total look. Having my new bob reminds me of when I was transitioning and really went for it and cut off all my relaxed hair.

I’m in love with my new cut because it’s definitely summer appropriate and I think it gives me a more sophisticated yet edgier look. I’m having fun with it and can’t wait to see how it evolves over time. I must admit that having to answer for the millionth and one time why I cut my hair has been at times frustrating, but each time I just say with great confidence that it was time for something new and I’m totally happy with the results.

I hope you guys enjoy the pictorials below of my latest hair update!

How do you keep your hair straight in this heat? I got my hair straightened at the hair rules salon, & by the time I got to the train station 6 blocks late my hair had sweated out & my graduation was the next day ๐Ÿ™

      Hi Shayna,

Thank you! I think my hair is pretty trained to be straight. Unfortunately, if you don't straighten often your hair is prone to reverting faster than usual because it's use to its curly sate. But the more you straighten the less you'll have to worry about it reverting too quickly! Hope this helps ๐Ÿ™‚

How is your hair always so gloriously shiny? Do you use something specific?

    1. Natasha says:

Is it??! Thank you,I appreciate it…I like coconut oil and light oils. Less than a dime size amount each day ๐Ÿ™‚

It really is. Like beautifully shiny. Curly and straight! I use oils as well, but mine is never -that- on point with shine!
